DECIMO CANTO
The story behind Decimo Canto spans centuries. The collection is LOCMAN’s latest creation and stems from the collaboration between Marco Mantovani, President of LOCMAN, and Sandro Fratini, one of the world’s leading watch collectors and founder of the L’O brand.
Mechanical clocks were already known in Italy in the 14th century, as Dante Alighieri suggests in the Paradiso of the Divine Comedy. In the Tenth Canto, the poet refers to the chimes of monastic alarm clocks. Great figures of the Tuscan Renaissance, including Filippo Brunelleschi, Leonardo da Vinci and Galileo Galilei, also contributed to the art and study of watchmaking.
Inspired by this heritage of excellence and shaped by years of experience, Decimo Canto brings together technology, creativity and craftsmanship through the vision of two leading figures in Italian watchmaking.
