LOCMAN GROUP: A MAJOR CELEBRATION ON THE ISLAND OF ELBA TO CELEBRATE THE PRESENTATION OF THE NEW COLLECTIONS

From September 20th to 25th 2007, the Locman Group will be opening its doors to all its national and international partners for a long weekend filled with novelty and emotions, during which the new models by Locman Italy will be presented. The island will therefore be hosting representatives of the most prestigious international luxury centres, jewellers, journalists from around the world and key players from the watch industry as well as show business.

A wide range of interesting and innovative new watches will be introduced, including the brand-new Match Race submersible watch, dedicated in particular to sailors and equipped with all the dedicated functions required by experienced sailors. Another highly anticipated release is the new Aeronautica Militare model, an ultra-technical watch endowed with features that are still a jealously guarded brand secret and which will represent the big surprise at the event.

The Locman Group is also to organise several sports events in conjunction with the convention. For sailing enthusiasts, Portoferraio will be the scene of the 12th Trofeo Amerigo Vespucci, a fascinating vintage yacht race held in cooperation with the Italian Navy. To mark the occasion, all eyes will be on the arrival of the Amerigo Vespucci sailing-school vessel, which will be temporarily stationed in the waters of Elba to salute the event.

Meanwhile, for devotees of fine automobiles, the streets of Elba will be filled with the roar of the 19th Rally Elba Storico and 20th Elba Graffiti races – scheduled from September 20th to 22nd. Exclusively reserved for historical and classic cars, these competitions are considered landmark dates in the European racing calendar for this speciality. On this occasion, 35 splendid Porsche cars will be on display in the Raduno Porsche Club.

The Elba evenings will also be enlivened by gala evenings and musical performances.
