LOCMAN ITALY PRESENTS MATCH-RACE

Match-Race is the latest watch from Locman Italy, enriching the group’s existing series of technologically advanced diver’s watches. Especially dedicated to passionate maritime and sailing enthusiasts, the Match-Race is a quartz chronograph equipped with a regatta movement designed to incorporate functions specific to sailing competitions. Match-Race features a dial with countdown indication which, thanks to the analog readoff and corresponding audible signals, enables competitors to be in the perfect position for race starts. In particular, a flag-shaped yellow hand points to the 10 to 6-minute countdown directly stamped on the dial, while the five final minutes are even more visible thanks to an applied deflector ring, followed by the race start flag. The dial, graced with applied Arabic numerals, is equipped with a permanent seconds subdial at 2 o’clock and a double chronograph hour and seconds display at 10 o’clock. Once the countdown is complete, the chronograph seconds counter automatically restarts for a maximum duration of 96 hours, corresponding to four days. The dial centre, in addition to the yellow chronograph hand, carries hour and minute hands as well as a smaller red-tipped arrow pointer beneath them for the 12-hour alarm. In addition to its specific technical characteristics designed for sailing competitions, the watch is also distinguished by the shock-resistance, lightness and water resistance that are all signature features of sports watches from Locman Italy. The case is crafted in matt titanium, a light and ultra-resistant material that feels warm on the wrist and is also used in a polished version for the bezel, pushers, knurled crown and the back secured to the case by four screws. This model’s strong ties with the sea are also highlighted in the stylised sail motif engraved on the back. Match-Race is water-resistant to 10 ATM and available in a total black version with ultra-light titanium and thermoplastic resin bracelet, or with a blue-lacquered dial and personalised blue Cordura strap with pin buckle.
