LOCMAN GROUP OPENS THE DOORS TO THE ISLAND OF ELBA FOR AN EVENTFUL WEEKEND

From May 9th to 11th 2008, Locman Group will be welcoming the press and international partners in the magical setting of the Island of Elba for a major event featuring delightful “hostess” Emanuela Folliero. This exceptional weekend will witness the presentation of the new models from Locman Italy and a celebration of the many achievements of the Italian-based watch firm over the past year.

First and foremost is the recent Locman commercial recently launched on the major Italian TV channels. Written by Marcello Martini and directed by Gaetano Morbioli, the spot ad is set amid the splendid beaches of the Island of Elba and the skyscrapers of New York and evokes the passion that binds two lovers and erases the distance between the “tiny Tuscan island” and the “big apples”. Starring in the commercial are Camila De Azevedo Alves and Simon Storey, who respectively wear the Toscano watch in the white strap and diamond-set version, and the Tremila model in the black dial and yellow strap version.

Another major accomplishment has been the special association Locman has established with the Italian armed forces through creating exclusive dedicated timepieces, a relationship that has proved to be more solid and prolific than ever over the past year. To underscore this particular partnership, the skydivers of the Folgore parachutist brigade will perform some spectacular jumps in the picturesque La Biodola bay. On this occasion, the public will also be introduced to the new models in the Tremila-Brigata Paracadutisti Folgore and Aeronautica lines.

The Island of Elba will also welcome the legendary Fiat 500 cars whose design inspired the Locman Fiat 500 watch created in cooperation with the Fiat Auto advanced design studio and issued in an exceptional limited edition of 500. The watch carries the signature of Giolito, the designer behind the successful restyling of the famous Italian compact vehicle.

The event will culminate on Sunday May 11th with a gala dinner followed by a show featuring conjuring and musical entertainment.
